Hundreds attended the first East Campus Discovery Days and Farmers Market in 2021. The event featured hands-on, science-focused activities, live music and multiple vendors.

East Campus Discovery Days and Farmers Market is a proud member of Buy Fresh Buy Local Nebraka. 

The new East Campus Discovery Days and Farmers Market will take place today, Aug 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln East Campus Mall north of  35th and Holdrege streets. 

The first season of the East Campus Discovery Days and Farmer’s Market concludes with a 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event on Aug. 14.

The event is more than a farmer’s market. It will offer hands-on, science-focused experiences from various Nebraska departments, as well as a vendor fair, live music and food trucks. 

“As far as the attendance, it absolutely exceeded my expectations,” Jessie Brophy, director of external engagement said. “We just had an incredible turnout for the first event."

The East Campus Discovery Days and Farmer's Market at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages. It’s more than a farmer’s market. It’s more than a science day.
